His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, confirmed that honoring the pioneering establishments and projects in the fields of work and social development in the Kingdom of Bahrain at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries is an achievement added to the series of achievements of the Kingdom and its people in the field of social work. His Excellency the Minister praised the initiative of honoring the ceremony, which was held in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the eighth meeting of the Ministerial Committees for Civil Services, Labor, Social Affairs and Development in the GCC countries, for a group of leading personalities and projects in the field of social work, distinguished companies and owners of small projects in the GCC countries. He also explained the importance of this honoring to Bahraini entrepreneurs and within a distinguished Gulf group, for Dr. Sheikha Salem Al-Areedh to be honored in the category of pioneering personalities in the social field, and Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia Foundation for the “Rayat Program” project, and Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Company for the “Mubarak Kanoo Comprehensive Social Center” project for the category of pioneering social projects in the field of social work. Integrated professional voluntary civil work within legal and legislative frameworks to protect it and facilitate its achievements in various fields of development work. Al-Asfoor called on establishments, institutions and entrepreneurs to follow the example of the honored authorities in the field of developing social work, by strengthening the principle of partnership and social responsibility between the government and private sectors and civil society institutions, which effectively support national efforts and in a positive way at various social and economic levels, stressing in this regard the keenness of the Ministry of Social Development to enable social work in its various forms to achieve the goals of sustainable development plans in societies. For their part, the honorees stressed the continuation of development work to support national efforts in the social, welfare and rehabilitation fields for the development and renaissance of Bahraini society, expressing their thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister and all employees of the Ministry of Social Development, for their confidence in their candidacy for this high honor at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which is an incentive to exert more effort and giving to keep pace with governmental and societal aspirations and to advance the social field to levels of success and distinction, thus contributing to the provision of the best and finest development services. Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia Foundation appreciated the confidence of the Ministry of Social Development and the nomination of the Rayaat program as one of the pioneering projects offered by the civil sector in the field of social work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting in this context that the honoring is a great motivation for the Foundation to move towards activating more specific initiatives and projects in line with the strategy of sustainable social responsibility, in addition to spreading awareness among members of society, especially the youth, of the importance of contributing to community volunteer service.
