Under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, the Al-Irada Association for the Gifted with Disabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organized a meeting for the arbitration committee and participants in the “Ammar Award for Supporting Creators with Disabilities” in its sixth session locally and the second at the level of the Arab Gulf countries, at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Manama, and in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the association, Dr. The discovery tour conducted by the committee to visit a number of cities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The Ammar Award for Supporting Creative People with Disabilities aims to discover talented people in this category, and motivate various members of society and civil society organizations to contribute constructively towards supporting humanitarian initiatives to enable them to be active members of society. On this occasion, Al-Asfoor praised the contributions of the Al-Irada Association for the Gifted with Disabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting its efforts to promote and support the rights of people with disabilities in all societal and developmental fields, through the "Ammar Award for Supporting Creative People with Disabilities" and other initiatives, stressing in this context the Kingdom of Bahrain's interest in the category of people with disabilities (people with determination) to improve their conditions, discover their talents and preserve their rights to ensure comprehensive protection for them and enjoy equality with their peers through their rehabilitation and integration into society. The minister also pointed out that the achievements made for people of determination in the Kingdom of Bahrain come as one of the features of the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, pointing out that Bahrain was one of the first countries to ratify the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, in addition to launching the National Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as the Kingdom was one of the developed countries in enacting many supportive and guarantor legislation To preserve the rights of people with disabilities, and thus the Kingdom has made great strides towards integrating this group into society. He said that the Kingdom of Bahrain, with its various governmental, private and civil sectors, is keen to advance the category of people with determination, and raise the level of services provided to them, stressing the continuation of community partnership programs and projects with government, private and civil sectors to achieve more achievements in the field of protecting and caring for people of determination.
