His Excellency the Minister of Social Development, Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, received in his office, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Ms. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Walid Khalifa Al-Manea, and the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Mr. Khaled Abdul Rahman Ishaq Al-Kooheji. During the meeting, the services provided to citizens in partnership between the two ministries were reviewed, and ways of developing and upgrading them were discussed, with the aim of achieving the highest possible quality of citizen service, especially for the category of people with disabilities (those with determination), and the category of senior citizens who are sponsored by the Ministry of Social Development in shelters, rehabilitation centers and day clubs for parental care. In this context, His Excellency the Minister of Social Development stressed the Ministry's keenness on the need to enhance effective and fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Health in related fields, and to strive towards achieving common development and humanitarian goals between the two sides for the benefit of the country and the citizen. For her part, HE the Minister of Health expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Development to strengthen the system of protection and social care, within the framework of implementing the directives of the esteemed government aimed at providing the best services to citizens.
