High-level event on "Productive Families and Entrepreneurship" held as part of 44th Arab Social Affairs Ministers meeting

Manama, Dec. 24 (BNA): The high-level event on "Productive Families and Entrepreneurship" began today as part of 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, organised by Bahrain's Ministry of Social Development in collaboration with the Arab League. It was attended by Arab ministers, social affairs officials, and international organisations. Osama Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, welcomed the attendees to Bahrain. He emphasised that this event reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The minister highlighted Bahrain's initiatives, including the Her Royal Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Productive Families, which has evolved into a regional project. Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary General and Head of Social Affairs Sector at the Arab League, highlighted the importance of developing productive families into entrepreneurs to meet sustainable development goals. Dr. Hashim Hussein, Head of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain (UNIDO-ITPO), highlighted the need for supportive environments for these businesses.
