The Minister of Social Development heads the 5th confernce of the high Committee for the Care of People with Disabilities

H.E Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the high Committee for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, headed the 5th meeting conference of the committee, in the presence of a its members, representatives of government sectors and private and civil institutions. During the meeting, the Minister of Social Development affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is continuing its support and efforts to enhance the rights of disabled and assuring the achievements to enable disabled to participate in the society. In this context, he noted the keenness to advance further cooperation fields with all institutions to provide equal opportunities to disabled. In all societal and development fields. The developments of the monitoring and follow-up team for the executive plan of the National Strategy for the Rights of Disabled for the years (2023-2027) were also discussed, within the framework of the commitment to promoting their rights, as well as their participation in the periodic theatrical festival hosted by the GCC countries every two years, as it is planned to be held in Its 7th edition in Qatar, in addition to reviewing the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in discussing the first and second comprehensive international report in Geneva.
