The Ministry of Social Development organized an awareness event for the Ministry’s female employees on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, in cooperation with the American Mission Hospital, at the Muharraq Social Center, coinciding with the month of October, which is internationally designated to highlight ways to prevent, treat, and physically and morally rehabilitate those infected with the disease. This comes within the framework of national and international efforts to combat breast cancer, which aims to provide the necessary support and information to women and make them aware of the importance of early detection and contribute to reducing the spread of this disease. The event included a number of awareness-raising activities and initiatives through the implementation of an educational workshop to educate female employees about the importance of early examination, presented by specialists at the American Mission Hospital. This workshop addressed topics related to signs of infection, the importance of periodic examinations, and ways to prevent disease. The Ministry of Social Development expressed its appreciation to the American Mission Hospital for its cooperation in holding this event, stressing that it reflects the commitment to promoting health and community well-being, and the importance of awareness in early detection of breast cancer, noting that the educational event is one of the most important tools in spreading awareness and promoting early detection. This contributes to increasing the chances of recovery and improving the quality of life for women with the disease.
