This came on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s participation with the Gulf community in celebrating Gulf Family Day, which falls on the fourteenth of September of each year, expressing in this regard its pride and pride in all the plans and strategies launched by the Supreme Council for Women, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, in order to strengthen the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain regionally and internationally in the field of empowering and supporting families and preserving their dignity. To enrich the gains achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Ministry of Social Development is keen to continue formulating social policies in order to strengthen the status of the family, empower its members at all levels and fields, and push national efforts aimed at providing all capabilities to support the Bahraini family and keep it cohesive and committed to religious and moral values, noting that the Ministry is launching A package of initiatives to meet the development needs of society, and provide social and care services to individuals and families, in addition to implementing many projects and plans that contribute to the advancement of various aspects of life for Bahraini families. The Ministry of Social Development cooperates with various official, private and civil authorities in establishing aspects of security and social protection in a way that supports development and prosperity efforts, in accordance with the principles of the National Action Charter and the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which guarantee family freedoms and rights, which has contributed to strengthening Bahrain’s international standing and highlighting it as a state with institutions that govern the law and operate. of its national obligations. In this context, the Ministry pointed out the great importance of the Bahraini family in society by creating a conscious and educated generation so that its members can contribute to the advancement and progress of society, especially since it has been subject to many legislation and laws that have had a positive impact on various economic, social, cultural and other aspects related to the family. Until these families became able to build society and move at a steady pace to keep pace with the process of development work to be a distinctive model for the advancement of society, stressing that the Gulf family receives great attention in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as it is the center and pillar of society, by strengthening its developmental role and developing its growing capabilities. . The Ministry pointed out the many services and guidance programs achieved by family guidance offices that meet the needs of all Bahraini family members, including the family care program concerned with implementing judicial rulings received from the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, regarding visits to children of divorced persons in the event of disagreement between them, as these are implemented. Visits in social development centers affiliated with the Ministry, in a safe and comfortable atmosphere for children and their families, in accordance with the directives of the Supreme Council for Women in an effort to provide a better climate and psychological comfort for children of divorced persons. This is in addition to the distinguished development and preventive services provided by Dar Al Aman to women exposed to domestic violence to all members of the Bahraini family in order to activate the role of the family in facing contemporary challenges and problems, treating the problems to which family members may be exposed, and achieving happiness, stability and family harmony among them, as this project represents a model. For the community partnership between the Ministry and civil society organizations, as well as the Al Karama House for Social Welfare, which is concerned with providing various aspects of care and services, in addition to economic and social empowerment projects for Bahraini families, which include cash support programs and training and development programs for family members and enabling them to advance and participate in the wheel of development with the aim of strengthening community cohesion between Categories of Bahraini society. The Ministry of Social Development confirms that it places the Bahraini family in an important and priority position, especially for its fundamental role in building a development society, and this is clearly evident by continuing to propose more pioneering projects in the field of empowering and supporting individuals and families and within the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strategies for construction and development.
