The Minister of Social Development chairs the 3rd meeting of the National Committee for the Elderly

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the National Committee for the Elderly, presided over the 3rd meeting of the Committee during the current year, in the presence of members representing government and private agencies. During the meeting, the topics on the agenda were discussed, including the adoption of the internal regulations of the committee, in accordance with its articles of association, as well as the financial regulations to achieve stability in the financial and accounting transactions of the committee's work. On this occasion, the Minister of Social Development stressed the importance of continuing to improve and develop the services provided to senior citizens in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in close cooperation with partners from all sectors, in a way that contributes to their involvement and integration into society, stressing the continuation of the achievements that have been achieved for them, and enhancing the quality of their lives, stressing at the same time the importance of achieving sustainability for the activities of the committee in coordination with private institutions and civil society organizations, to implement many initiatives in support of them, as it plays a complementary and supportive role for government sectors by promoting development goals, as well as Dedicating community awareness of their rights
