Manama, June 25 (BNA): A joint coordination meeting was held today between the legislative and executive authorities to restructure government support and direct it to its beneficiaries. The meeting was chaired by Representative Abdul Nabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, while the Shura Council was chaired by Member Jamal Muhammad Fakhro, First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, and from the government side, HE Minister of Shura and Representatives Affairs, Mr. Ghanim bin Fadl Al-Buainain. He also attended the meeting from the government side; His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, His Excellency Mr. Hamad bin Faisal Al-Maliki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning. On the part of the legislative authority, members of the Bureau of the two councils representing the legislative authority side of the committee attended. During the meeting, the principles of the committee's work were reviewed, including that support be directed to the most deserving citizen, in a way that ensures optimal use of the amounts allocated for support in the state's general budget. It was also emphasized during the meeting that the direct support provided to eligible citizens should always be an incentive to productivity in all fields of national work and a motivation for career advancement and the acquisition of all available opportunities for development and growth.
