During the sponsorship of the Digital Transformation Program .. The Ministry of Social Development: The importance of promoting technology in the NGO sector

Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Social Development, Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, the Bahrain Charitable Work Society organized the “Digital Transformation of Non-Governmental Organizations” program, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development in the Ministry, Ms. Enas Mohammed Al-Majed, and the Honorary President of the Society, Dr. Hassan bin Eid Bukhmas, and with the participation of a number of relevant civil organizations, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. In the speech delivered by the Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development, she stressed the importance of promoting and keeping pace with technological changes, to develop the sector of civil and professional associations and non-profit institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, by introducing them to the available digital solutions, and how these solutions contribute to the investment of modern technologies in the work of civil organizations, noting that the Ministry of Social Development is keen to provide all appropriate means and support necessary to develop volunteer work and help it to play its pioneering role to the fullest. She said that the initiative of the Bahrain Society for Voluntary Work, in organizing this training program and in cooperation with the Digital Skills Foundation, and the Abdul Rahim Al-Kooheji Charitable Foundation, reflects the association's awareness of social responsibility, by providing opportunities for civil society organizations to benefit from the process of enabling digital transformation, to enhance their services to the beneficiary groups, and to employ technology to contribute to the performance of its role effectively and with quality. Also, during the program, an exhibition of digital transformation platforms was inaugurated, and a number of supporting agencies and relevant community personalities were honored.
