Under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare organized a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of its founding, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Mr. Hussein Hassan Al-Ali, members of the Society, a number of members of the House of Representatives, heads of civil society organizations, and supporters of the Society from the institutions and dignitaries. On this occasion, the Minister of Social Development congratulated the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare, for the passage of 20 years of hard work and continuous charitable effort over these years, calling on the Society to continue providing its charitable services, in order to achieve the principles of community partnership, and to complement the role played by the official authorities in community development, stressing at the same time supporting and encouraging the activities of civil organizations registered under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Development, because of their prominent role in community service, praising the efforts of various civil society institutions that provide services tangible and distinguished initiatives to serve all segments of society, which is a source of pride and continued support for these efforts. He also stressed the importance of strengthening joint national efforts, governmental and private, in the field of promoting development and social services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which would contribute to improving the social level of individuals and families, pointing out in this context that the experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the fields of development recorded tangible success, as the Ministry of Social Development strengthened cooperation with civil organizations, by activating the principles of community partnership, implementing many related initiatives and programs, as well as providing services to the target groups in order to improve Bahraini individuals and families economically and socially. The Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare is considered one of the active civil society organizations in the Bahraini society, and it has worked over the past years to provide its charitable services in the educational, health and social fields, in light of a community partnership with many relevant authorities.
