His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, affirmed that the experience of productive families and entrepreneurs in the Kingdom of Bahrain constitutes a model for sustainable development and an example of integration in the process of economic development, in line with the strategic directions to encourage the transformation from low-income families into productive families, and in a way that contributes to revitalizing the local economy cycle and stimulating Bahraini creativity to innovate in a climate that attracts investment and an atmosphere conducive to competitiveness. This came on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain's celebration of the Arab Productive Family Day, which was endorsed by the Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, in response to the Kingdom of Bahrain's proposal to celebrate the Arab Day to encourage productive families on March 15 of each year, as well as the ministers' endorsement of the Arab Award for Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa to encourage productive families, aimed at promoting creativity and excellence in the production, display and marketing of products in innovative ways. In this context, Minister Al-Asfoor praised the great support given by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of the country and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, to productive families through the continued keenness and care of Her Highness for national projects and initiatives supporting the citizen to have an active role in the development of society, which made him innovate and manufacture a unique and distinctive product circulated for marketing, indicating that the Bahraini family is proud of the rich balance of achievements in the development of society and the economy. patriotic. He also explained that the Ministry of Social Development provided many attractive facilities for productive families to share their distinguished ideas and projects in the market, enabling them to remain stable, as the Ministry is constantly working on developing programs directed at projects for Bahraini productive families to ensure their development and sustainability, in addition to devoting the approach of excellence and competitiveness by launching several initiatives to increase family income, support its stability, and enhance its position and role to be an active contributor to society. The Minister indicated the steps taken by the Ministry to enable the productive families project, since its early beginnings in the seventies of the last century, until the project developed in a qualitative manner, benefiting from successful international experiences and taking into account the local specificity, as many laws, legislations, and programs were issued regulating the work of these families and to be present in the process of national development in its various fields, the most prominent of which is the “Step for Home Projects” program, which came as an extension of the productive families project, and contributed to unleashing the individual’s energies and transforming him from dependent on social assistance into a successful home project owner, where he got (( 2788) individuals and families obtained a productive home license, until the end of February of this year. His Excellency the Minister of Social Development continued that the Ministry is keen to hone the talents of productive families and develop them through the creation of quality training programs and development projects, the provision of headquarters to practice their work, and the investment of partnerships with the private sector to promote their products, especially since the projects of Bahraini productive families are witnessing a remarkable development in terms of employing modern technologies, especially in the field of marketing these products through electronic platforms to ensure the expansion of the sales process and its promotion inside and outside Bahrain. He stressed that the Ministry of Social Development will continue its role in supporting the productive families sector and sponsoring their projects, which reflected a successful economic model that has written many success stories mixed with national capabilities to exert effort and creativity in ideas and excellence to develop, invest and market traditional products to raise the level of the individual and the family, as the first starting point for practicing self-employment and developing family income resources.
