Meeting with voluntary Islamic and social societies.. Minister Al-Asfour confirms support for the goals of charitable organizations to develop mechanisms for voluntary and developmental work

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, received in his office a number of heads and members of Islamic, charitable and social associations under the supervision of the Ministry, in order to discuss issues that would contribute to strengthening efforts aimed at advancing volunteer and humanitarian work. During the meeting, the most important developments in the programs and projects of charitable associations were reviewed, aspects of cooperation between the Ministry of Social Development and civil society organizations, and ways to support these programs and projects in a way that reflects positively on the development of society, as well as the development of mechanisms for the work of these civil organizations, in addition to examining a number of requests from representatives of associations regarding the organization of charitable and voluntary work in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In this context, the Minister of Social Development praised the efforts of civil organizations in charitable and humanitarian work, expressing his appreciation for the various projects and programs implemented by these organizations, and the charitable services they provide to those who deserve them from various groups of society, stressing the importance of strengthening the horizon of professional cooperation between the Ministry and civil society organizations, in accordance with the laws and regulations followed in this regard, noting at the same time the importance of community partnership between various parties to facilitate the work of charitable institutions and societies in order to improve their services and contributions in promoting development work. In their turn, the heads and members of Islamic, charitable and social societies praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Development, and its keenness to strengthen the principle of community partnership among the various parties of society, to improve its voluntary and humanitarian services, and to facilitate its procedures to perform its development and charitable mission to the fullest, stressing their determination to continue social work and continue to implement development initiatives and contribute to improving the quality of services directed to the target groups.
