Upon meeting the President of the Salmabad Charitable Society, the Minister of Social Development: NGOs are essential partners in the development of society

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, affirmed keenness to enhance cooperation with all charitable and humanitarian associations that contribute to the development of the concept of volunteer work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the role of the ministry in promoting volunteer work through coordination between all volunteer efforts and initiatives, in addition to its endeavor to motivate civil society organizations to play their role as an essential partner in community development. This came during a meeting with His Excellency the Minister of Social Development, Mr. Abdullah Hassan Abdul-Wahhab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Salmabad Charity Association, in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors, where they reviewed the developments of the association's work, its most prominent achievements and the efforts of its members in serving the community, especially from the people of the region of all age groups, as well as the association's contribution to promoting charitable and humanitarian work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and aspects of cooperation with relevant government and private institutions. For his part, Mr. Abdullah Hassan Abdel-Wahhab, Chairman of the Salmabad Charity Association, praised the role of the Ministry of Social Development in promoting continuous communication with the associations, pointing out the association's keenness to provide more effort and giving, as an active partner to all official state institutions, especially the Ministry of Social Development, in a way that enhances joint efforts in developing volunteer work in the Kingdom.
