The Minister of Social Development receives the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Society for the Care of Scholarly Patients

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, during his reception in his office at the Ministry, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Society for the Care of Scholarly Patients, Mr. Zakaria Ibrahim Al-Kadhim, in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors, discussed ways to enhance the role of the Society and its contribution in providing types of support for patients with multiple sclerosis. His Excellency the Minister of Social Development praised the Society's achievements and humanitarian contributions in the field of follow-up and care for patients with sclerosis, noting the positive presence and participation of the Society in various external participations, pointing in this context to the importance of the Society continuing to strengthen its community partnership with government and private institutions in order to develop services directed to patients with diabetes in Bahrain, stressing the keenness and continuation of the Ministry to harness the capabilities to support civil society institutions in the framework of their support so that they play their role and ensure their effective contribution and implementation of their programs to serve all. During the meeting, the various activities and programs implemented by the Bahrain Society for the Care of Scholarly Patients were reviewed as part of its endeavors to serve the patients, in cooperation and coordination with the authorities related to the objectives of the association. A number of proposals that would contribute to enabling multiple sclerosis patients to actively contribute to work, overcoming the difficulties they face, in addition to benefiting from developmental and social services and projects that fall within the Ministry's specialization, were discussed.
