Ms. Enas Mohammed Al-Majid, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the Ministry of Social Development, stated that 20 productive families registered under the ministry's umbrella within the "Khatwa" project for home projects, participated in the Bahraini Farmers' Market within its tenth season, which is organized by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture in the Budaiya Botanical Garden. Al-Majed confirmed that the Ministry of Social Development is constantly working on developing programs aimed at Bahraini productive families’ projects, to ensure their development and sustainability, as well as presenting many qualitative initiatives in cooperation with the relevant authorities, with the aim of supporting the products of productive families and creating a marketing environment that contributes to increasing their economic income, by strengthening community partnerships with government, private and private sectors to promote their products. She appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture in organizing the Bahraini Farmers Market for the current year, stressing in this context the importance of organizing this periodic gathering, which provides an opportunity for productive families to market their national products to ensure the expansion of the sale and promotion process. The Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development also stressed that the experience of productive families in the Kingdom of Bahrain constitutes a model for sustainable development, and the human ability to integrate into the process of economic development taking place in the country, to move from the rentier circle and dependence on the state to the productive circle, in a way that contributes to stimulating the local economy cycle, and stimulating Bahraini creativity for innovation in a climate that attracts investment and an atmosphere conducive to competitiveness, pointing out that Bahraini productive families are proud of their national balance full of achievements in the development of society and the national economy, as it reflects the inherent talent in Bahrainis who I made him innovate and create a unique shopping product. It is noteworthy that the Productive Families Project, which was launched by the Ministry of Social Development 40 years ago, has achieved notable success, the latest of which was the Ministry’s award of the Arab Governmental Excellence Award for the Step Home Projects Program as the best Arab project for community development. My home is successful, as more than (1,800) participants in the "Step" program obtained a license for the productive home, according to statistics for the current year 2022.
