License application to collect money for general purposes (for natural and legal persons):
  1. Form No. (1) application for a license to collect money for general purposes for natural and legal persons approved by the president or his deputy + the secretary + the association's seal.
  2. Initial approval by a bank of the possibility of opening a bank account for the duration of the license.
  3. In the event of collection through piggy banks, a list of the places and number of the piggy banks, and the approval of the competent authority on the place of placing the piggy bank, shall be attached.


Request to renew a license to collect money:
  1. Fill out the license application form to collect money for the general purposes of natural and legal persons, Form No. (1) approved by the president or his deputy + the secretary + the seal of the association.
  2. Bank statement for collecting money.
  3. In the event of collecting through piggy banks, a list of the places and number of the piggy banks, and the approval of the competent authority on the place of placing the piggy bank, shall be attached.

Request to transfer/send money abroad - receive/get money from abroad:
  1. Fill out a form to request a license to transfer funds outside the Kingdom of Bahrain or accept donations from outside the Kingdom of Bahrain Form No. 2 “All data must be filled out” approved by the president or deputy + secretary + the seal of the association.
  2. Fill out the attached application form for transfer/sending money abroad and the application form for accepting/receiving money from abroad (the table) in computer handwriting and not by hand, and it must be approved by the president or deputy + secretary + association seal with mentioning the date of submitting the application.


Request to report receiving unauthorized money without a license
  • Fill out a request form to notify the receipt of funds without a license, form No. (3) approved by the president or deputy + secretary + seal of the association.


Procedures to followup when applying for fundraising for the purpose of building a headquarters:
  1. First, a letter must be submitted requesting initial approval to open a bank account to collect money for the purpose of building a headquarters in the electronic system for NGOs.
  2. It is necessary to attach a full study of the headquarters to be built, the amount specified for construction, and engineering drawings. 
  3. After obtaining the approval of the bank to open a fund-raising account for the construction of the headquarters, Form No. 1 must be filled out to request a fund-raising license and submitted to the electronic system for NGOs, along with a copy of the bank's approval to open the account.
