Award Categories

First Category: Creative and distinguished persons with disabilities

An award submitted to persons with disabilities who have made advanced and distinguished efforts to achieve accomplishments for themselves, their families or their countries in various fields.

Second Category: Supporting entities for persons with disabilities

An award submitted to distinguished initiatives presented by the supporting entity, whether private, voluntary or charitable, for persons with disabilities, with the objective of integrating and empowering them in society.

Criteria and conditions for nomination for the award (first category):

1. The person nominated for the award must be a person with disabilities and a citizen of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

2. The work submitted by the candidate must be capable of being highlighted in the media and benefiting from his/her experience in spreading the culture of empowerment for persons with disabilities.

3. The candidate must have implemented projects, achieved creative accomplishments, or distinguished in areas that contribute to empowering persons with disabilities.

4. The project or achievement nominated for the award must achieve the objectives of the award, whether related to the person with a disability or to other persons with disabilities.

5. The candidate should not have been previously honored in one of the awards presented at the level of the Committee of Their Excellencies and Highness's, Ministers of Development and Social Affairs in the GCC countries.

Criteria and conditions for nomination for the award (second category):

1. The nominated entity must be from the voluntary civil sector or one of the private commercial sector institutions. Nominations from official or governmental entities will not be accepted.

2. The nominated entity must have implemented projects or initiatives and achieved tangible goals related to empowering persons with disabilities.

3. The entity nominated for the award must be officially registered and operating on a permanent and continuous basis, in accordance with the regulations and as per laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

4. The project should be able to be highlighted in media and used to spread the culture of social responsibility to empower persons with disabilities.

5. The entity must not have been previously honored / rewarded in one of the awards presented at the level of the Committee of Their Excellencies and Highness's, Ministers of Development and Social Affairs in the GCC countries.
