His Excellency the Minister of Social Development, Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Engineering Offices Association, Engineer Mazen Ahmed Al-Omran, in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation in a way that contributes to improving the level of professional services provided by the association. During the meeting, the programs and projects implemented by the association were reviewed in line with its objectives aimed at developing the engineering office sector, by providing technical support to national competencies working in the engineering field, in the belief in the importance of the role played by the professional sector by enhancing training development opportunities to gain knowledge and scientific and practical experience in many fields, in addition to discussing a number of topics related to the technical support provided by the ministry to civil society organizations, to enable them and enhance their ability to be an active partner in the development of society. For his part, the Minister of Social Development praised the contributions and efforts of the Engineering Offices Association in the field of strengthening the professional sector, as it is one of the supporting sectors in society, and a supporter of the developmental renaissance process, due to the high level of quality and efficiency it acquires, stressing in this context the importance of community partnership that requires setting a vision and mechanism between all sectors in a way that contributes to achieving a positive impact on sustainable development, and reviewing the most prominent services provided by the Ministry to civil organizations registered with it, including the financial grants program for development projects, which is provided to distinguished organizations with their development projects , with the aim of encouraging them to innovate to support national efforts in achieving development goals in their comprehensive sense. His Excellency the Minister of Social Development also affirmed the Ministry's keenness to overcome all obstacles that civil society organizations may face, in order to enable them to achieve their social goals that are presented to the local community, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the field of supporting NGOs.
