His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, paid an introductory visit to the Al-Rahma Center for Youth Care of the Al-Rahma Association for the Care of the Disabled, at the center's headquarters in East Riffa, in the presence of the head of the center, Mrs. Nadia Abdullah Al-Bakr, and a number of members of the association's board of directors. On this occasion, the Minister of Social Development praised the qualitative efforts made by the Al-Rahma Center for Youth Care, through the innovation of services and programs that contribute to highlighting the capabilities and energies of people of determination and refining their skills, in order to achieve community integration and active participation of this group, as well as promoting equal opportunities, supporting and enabling them to play their roles in society, stressing in this regard the keenness of the Ministry of Social Development to continue empowering people of determination, in order to provide them with suitable job opportunities, commensurate with their abilities and levels of disabilities, by developing supportive policies for Employing them in partnership with various governmental and private sectors and civil society institutions. During the visit, the minister was briefed on the progress of work in the rehabilitation departments and training workshops at the center, which are offered to young students with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, who are in age groups of 15 years and over, with the aim of achieving psychological and social adaptation by developing independence skills and enhancing a sense of self-worth. Al-Asfoor also listened to an explanation from the head of the center about the most important health, psychological and social services, in addition to the rehabilitation, education and vocational training programs implemented by the center, where thirteen training workshops are provided for the 38 boys and girls, in addition to working continuously to develop these rehabilitation programs, in a manner commensurate with their abilities and needs, to provide them with the necessary skills for self-reliance in their life affairs, reviewing in this regard a number of successful experiences achieved by those with determination in the center, especially in the agricultural and agricultural fields. Productivity in the Agricultural Training Department, which aims to rehabilitate people with determination and benefit from their energies, which is considered a motivation to continue efforts in the center, and to achieve more excellence in the services and programs it implements.
