His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, honorary member of the Bahrain Society for Voluntary Work, received Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Mushaqih from the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the honorary president of the association, Mr. Hassan bin Eid Bukhamas, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the association, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sindi, in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors, and the delegation accompanying Dr. Al-Mushaqih, during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister welcomed the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Society for Voluntary Work, praising the society's sustainable developmental and social contributions, and its initiatives in implementing many qualitative projects that benefit society and the country, in addition to what the society seeks to achieve in terms of humanitarian goals by spreading the culture of volunteer work, stressing that volunteer work is a fundamental pillar of the activities of civil society organizations, and that the Ministry of Social Development is keen to facilitate civil work according to the laws and regulations concerned in this context. For their part, the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Association reviewed the most prominent achievements of the Association, noting in this regard that the Association is constantly working on the continuous review of its development strategy, believing in the importance of supporting national efforts that contribute to the advancement and development of society at the various levels of economic, social, education and health. They also expressed their appreciation to the Ministry of Social Development for its institutional support efforts for civil work organizations, especially with regard to promoting the culture of volunteering, which contributed and continues to make the Bahrain Society for Voluntary Work in particular and civil society organizations in general, achieving qualitative and distinctive leaps in the paths of development to develop services that are provided to the citizen and the country according to a future perspective.
