Ministry of Social Development: disbursement of financial support according to eligibility conditions
14-09-2022

Regarding what was raised about stopping the disbursement of financial support (expensive allowance) for driving instructors, the Ministry of Social Development clarified that stopping the request for entitlement to financial support for any beneficiary takes place when it becomes clear that he has income and does not indicate to the Ministry that he has obtained this income, and accordingly the Ministry takes the necessary measures to stop disbursing financial support (expensive allowance), according to the laws and regulations in force. The Ministry also indicated that the issue of professionals (including driving instructors) was presented to the committee concerned with financial support, and their conditions were studied, in accordance with relevant laws and decisions. It was confirmed to the committee that after regular work in the profession of driving instructors and the end of the challenges of the pandemic, and the determination of the material value of one training hour, the average income of the driving instructor does not fall within the category of those with limited income who are eligible for financial support. The Ministry of Social Development affirms its keenness on the interest of all groups and its investigation of accuracy before making any decision regarding entitlement to any social assistance, noting that the doors of the Ministry are open to anyone who wants to file a grievance in this regard, bringing with him the supporting documents of the case.
