Statement of the Ministry of Social Development on the occasion of Gulf Family Day

The Kingdom of Bahrain participates with the Gulf community in celebrating the Gulf Family Day, which falls on the fourteenth of September of each year, which was submitted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a proposal during the seventh meeting of the Committee of Ministers for Social Development Affairs of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf on September 21 of last year, to celebrate the Gulf family and highlight the importance of its role in society. The participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain on this day is an embodiment of its keenness to implement everything that would achieve security and stability for Bahraini families, given that the family is the basis of society based on religion, morals and patriotism, in line with the principles stated in the National Action Charter and the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain that guarantee and protect family freedoms and rights, which contributed to strengthening Bahrain's position internationally and highlighting it as a state of institutions governed by the law and based on its national obligations. Various governmental, private and civil agencies contribute to caring for the Bahraini family, in light of the system of legislation for preserving the dignity and safety of these families, including the Ministry of Social Development, which is constantly working on drawing up social policies based on community studies that are a tributary to improving the quality of life in society, in addition to strengthening the developmental and care methods provided to these families, especially projects and plans that contribute to the advancement of various aspects of life for Bahraini families in order to build society efficiently and competently. On this occasion, the Ministry of Social Development expresses its pride in what Bahraini families have achieved of a national balance full of achievements in the development of society and the national economy, through the step program for home projects, as an expression of the talent rooted in the Bahraini citizen that made him innovate and manufacture a unique and distinctive product circulated for marketing, as well as the attractive facilities that the Ministry has made available to Bahraini productive families to share their ideas and distinguished projects in the market, enabling them to remain stable through a series of training workshops and consultations. Technical provided by specialists in the field of financing and projects in the Family House for Microfinance, which provided banking facilities to productive Bahraini families. On the other hand, the Ministry of Social Development leads the course of social work in the light of community partnership with the governmental, private and private sectors to play an important vital role in the fields and areas of families through the various projects and initiatives it offers. Family guidance offices in social centers distributed in all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain are among these projects and initiatives. And achieving the highest levels of mental health, happiness, satisfaction and family stability, as well as reducing the proportion of family problems and conflicts, whether familial, marital, educational, social or personal, by following several approaches to reach the goals it seeks to achieve such as the preventive approach, the therapeutic approach and the developmental approach. society and its civilization The Ministry of Social Development has also initiated the activation of the Family Welfare Program concerned with the implementation of judicial rulings regarding visits of divorced and separated children through social centers instead of police stations, based on the vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women, and the belief of Her Highness, may God protect her, in achieving safety and psychological stability for the Bahraini family. Al-Usri supervise the implementation of this program. With regard to social protection, Dar Al-Aman provides temporary shelter and necessary protection for battered women and their minor children to victims of domestic violence, in addition to providing various types of living, social, health and legal services, as this project represents a model of community partnership between the Ministry and NGOs. The Ministry of Social Development continues to provide its services in the care, protection and development of the family in all aspects, and seeks to put forward more initiatives and projects that raise the level of services provided.
