Al-Asfoor: The strategies and programs of the Supreme Council for Women have succeeded in promoting the progress of Bahraini women in all fields

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, raised the highest verses of congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Kingdom of Bahrain, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, may God protect her, wife of the King of the country and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of the twenty-first anniversary of the founding of the Supreme Council for Women, stressing that the Council represents a pioneering model that proved its presence on at the local, regional, Arab and international levels in the field of policy-making, planning and implementing programs to achieve the goals and objectives of economic, social and cultural benefits for women and the Bahraini family, through the implementation of the national strategy for the advancement of Bahraini women, and the programs put forward by the Council since its inception, which reflected positively on the reality of Bahraini women, and contributed to strengthening the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain among the world’s leading countries in the field of women’s advancement. Al-Asfoor said that the strategies and programs of the Supreme Council for Women succeeded in promoting the progress of Bahraini women in all fields, thanks to the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Kingdom of Bahrain, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the Great King, of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, which recorded remarkable successes and outstanding achievements on Over 21 years since the issuance of Royal Decree No. (44) of 2001 establishing the Supreme Council for Women. Al-Asfoor stressed that the Ministry of Social Development confirms the continuation of its endeavors and efforts to strengthen its partnership with the Supreme Council for Women, to achieve more achievements in the field of Bahraini women's advancement, at the various economic and social levels, referring to the step-by-step program for home projects, the successes it achieved and the awards it won on the Arab and international levels, the latest of which was the Arab Government Excellence Award for the best government project for community development in the year 2020, thanks to the continuous support of Her Royal Highness, wife of the great King of the country, President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her. For productive families, as this was embodied in many initiatives, including Her Highness’s award to encourage productive families, which she launched at the local and Arab levels, based on a sincere belief in the importance of encouraging productive families and enabling them to work, produce, and develop. On a related level, Al-Asfoor explained that the Ministry of Social Development was among the ministries that initiated the formation of a committee for equal opportunities, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women, and was concerned with spreading the culture of equal opportunities and integrating women's needs in cooperation with civil organizations within the strategy of institutional integration with the Supreme Council for Women, within the framework of implementing the approved national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women and strengthening their role in society, stressing the ministry's determination to continue work and development towards more achievements for women and the Bahraini family in various fields.
