His Excellency Engineer Ibrahim bin Hassan Al-Hawaj, Minister of Works, and His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, made an inspection tour of the project to establish the Social Welfare Complex in Hamad Town, in order to closely review the progress of work at the site. During the tour, His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim bin Hassan Al-Hawaj, Minister of Works, stressed the importance of continuing to advance the wheel of sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels by working to strengthen the elements of the infrastructure in line with development developments, and achieve the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God preserve and preserve him, with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him. Al-Hawaj said that the implementation of the Social Welfare Complex in Hamad Town comes within the framework of the continuous interest in the various service projects that the Ministry of Works is designing and supervising their implementation, adding that the final operating trials currently underway will be implemented in full swing, in preparation for the completion of the project and its handover to the Ministry of Social Development, where all construction works, internal and external finishes, and general site works in the project have been completed. Al-Hawaj indicated that all the requirements of the Ministry of Social Development were taken into account in designing the project, in addition to providing requirements and specifications for sustainability and green buildings and implementing a policy of rationalizing energy consumption to preserve the environment and natural resources. He said that the project achieves the objectives of the Ministry of Social Development by providing the best social, psychological and health care services through specialized social care centers in a way that contributes to improving the level of social service provided and rehabilitating the target groups for integration into society, which reflects positively on the development of Bahraini society and achieving sustainability and social welfare. In addition to all the accompanying services such as multi-purpose halls, a sports club, outdoor playgrounds, and other various service facilities that contribute to ensuring an easy living for the groups residing in the buildings of the complex. In a related context, Al-Asfoor praised the close and continuous cooperation with the Ministry of Works and the Kuwait Fund for Economic and Arab Development, by working as a team to achieve more achievements and projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
