Starting the Nominations for Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Encouraging Productive Families in its local and Arab versions

Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of the country and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, the Ministry of Social Development announces the opening of nominations for the Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award to encourage productive families in its local version (17) and its Arabic version. (8), the winners of which will be announced during February 2024. On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, confirmed that the award is gaining importance at the level of Arab countries because it bears the name of the wife of the country’s great monarch and the President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, indicating that Her Highness continues to support and care for productive families since the establishment of the award. It contributed to its enrichment and development towards motivating individuals and families to enhance economic and social life, based on the concepts of creative competition, which contributed to improving the quality of family products and encouraging this societal group to innovate and excel in manufacturing their products, and creating marketing windows for them locally and Arabally. The Minister of Social Development also drew attention to the experience of pioneering productive families in the process of productive and developmental work, and their ability to move from the circle of care to the circle of participation in development, stressing the importance of continuing to adopt and develop initiatives and programs that support productive families and in a way that contributes to stimulating creativity for innovation in light of an attractive investment climate and atmosphere. On the other hand, the Ministry of Social Development urged Bahraini and Arab productive families to apply and run for the award by registering in the electronic form created on the Ministry’s website www.social.gov.bh, starting from December 27, 2023 until February 1, 2024, provided that Samples of participating products will be received in person at the Mubarak bin Jassim Kanoo Comprehensive Social Center, in the Sanabis area, during official working hours from 7:30 am to 2 pm. As for food products, only participation forms will be received, and an appointment will be set. Samples of food products will be received later through direct communication with participants during the month of February 2024. The criteria for selecting the best supporter for productive families are specific to the type of support and care provided to families, the time period of this care, the extent of its continuity, and the methods used to improve the productive families project, which results in achieving comprehensive development goals. In its two editions this year, the award will be given to three winners: the award for the best productive family, the best producer, and the best sponsor and supporter of productive families, and the same will be distributed to the winners from sisterly Arab countries. On the sidelines of the celebration announcing the winners of Her Highness’s award, the accompanying exhibition will be opened, which will last for three days. It aims to display and market distinctive products, motivate home-based entrepreneurs and develop their creative skills, as well as provide opportunities for individuals and families to search for additional sources to improve their economic situation, through...
