The Minister of Social Development receives the Archbishop in India on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, received Archbishop Axios Mar Aspios of the friendly Republic of India, in the presence of a number of members of the Syrian Orthodox Church of Saint Mary, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom. At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Social Development welcomed Archbishop Axios, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to spread a culture of peace and consolidate the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among peoples, as well as supporting the efforts of civil organizations and places of worship to achieve their development goals, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in this field. The meeting discussed a number of topics of development concern through the Ministry of Social Development’s support for projects and initiatives of civil society organizations and churches registered under its umbrella.
