Under the patronage of H.E Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, the Ministry organized a ceremony on the occasion of International Volunteer Day, to honor 130 civil society organizations and a number of volunteers, with the participation of government and private institutions, heads and representatives of civil society organizations and individual volunteers, at the Sharifa Al-Awadi Club for Children and Youth in Riffa . In his speech, the Minister of Social Development praised the efforts of the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain who set the most wonderful examples of sincerity and giving in service to society, presented a pioneering model in the field of volunteer work, and employed their potential and capabilities to achieve progress for the Kingdom of Bahrain, to support the comprehensive development process under the prosperous era of His Holiness. In this regard, he pointed to the efforts and endeavors of all volunteers, whose efforts became clear and clearly visible, and had a positive impact in consolidating the volunteer work system in the Kingdom, especially those volunteer efforts that crystallized in order to support official institutions, pointing in this context to the need for their participation and contribution in supplementing the efforts of Workers in many fields, as they contributed to establishing an honorable history of civil and volunteer work. For their part, the honorees praised the gesture of the Ministry of Social Development, at the International Volunteer Day ceremony, considering this honor as a great morale boost that contributes to doing more great work in service to Bahraini society, noting that the inauguration of the National Social Work Fund in a new look will contribute to encouraging work. Volunteering for all members of society, and contributes positively to the benefit of the nation.
