His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, affirmed the ministry’s keenness to support national efforts to establish a culture of innovation and competitiveness among all its employees, in a way that contributes to motivating them to develop creative ideas that serve the ministry’s work sectors, and in line with the government’s 2023-2026 program, within The axis of government performance and digital transformation, to empower cadres by continuing to develop supportive policies and initiatives, raise employee productivity, link performance measurement and enhance creativity and innovation, as well as transform the concept of innovation and institutional affiliation into work and an effective institutional culture. This came during a number of the Ministry’s employees reviewing development ideas and projects through the “Badir” initiative, which the Ministry launched for all its employees, in order to spread the culture of development in government work through an integrated system among the Ministry’s employees, and to enhance awareness of the importance of innovation and competitiveness. His Excellency stated that this initiative would contribute positively to raising the level of quality of the Ministry’s institutional performance in general, and with regard to the work environment, employee motivation, and competitiveness among them in particular, in a way that supports building national entrepreneurial capabilities, and providing exemplary, vibrant, and more flexible services. The Minister of Social Development also discussed with the employees the extent of the possibility of implementing innovative projects and their impact on administrative practices in all sectors of the Ministry, praising the level of their capabilities and qualitative initiatives that will be taken into consideration, in a way that contributes to providing full support to empower these national capabilities and motivate them to continue the process of creativity and excellence. With the aim of enriching the culture of innovation. He also pointed out that employees with distinctive proposals and initiatives will be encouraged and prepared to contribute their proposals to enhance innovation in government work by participating in the “Fikra” government innovation competition.
