The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development participates in the ninth meeting of undersecretaries in the Gulf countries

Her Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Professor Sahar Rashid Al Mannai, participated in the ninth meeting held by Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Development Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, via video communication technology, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed bin Rashid Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development in The Sultanate of Oman - the sisterly presidential state - with the participation of Their Excellencies Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Social Development Affairs, and His Excellency Khalid bin Ali bin Salem Al Sunaidi, Assistant Secretary for Economic and Development Affairs of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council. During the meeting, the decision of the Supreme Council in its forty-first session regarding the unified guiding law for empowering persons with disabilities, the unified guiding law for volunteer work, and the decision of the Ministerial Council regarding protecting moral, religious and family values in Gulf societies was reviewed. The agents also discussed the strategy of joint Gulf action for women’s affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to discussing the State of Kuwait’s proposal for an award for creative and distinguished people with disabilities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations that will be presented to the next meeting of the Committee of Their Excellencies and Excellencies the Ministers of Social Development Affairs of the GCC countries, which is scheduled to be held on September 20, 2023 in the city of Muscat.
