The Minister of Social Development receives the President and members of the Baha'i Social Society

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Baha'i Social Society, received Dr. Badie' Jaberi, in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors. During the meeting, the most important goals of the association aimed at building and developing society were reviewed, based on human values and principles that call for peaceful coexistence and tolerance among all components of society. The projects and activities of the association that it implements in cooperation and coordination with all concerned sectors, including the promotion of the role of women, were discussed. To improve society, consolidate the principle of coexistence and tolerance, and achieve peace, in addition to spreading the culture of humanitarian and social services and developing the capabilities and skills of those in charge of them. The Minister of Social Development affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is a country of civilization and openness to other cultures, and a safe place for everyone to practice their beliefs freely and reassuringly. A culture of peace and peaceful coexistence among peoples, pointing to the importance of the commitment of civil organizations to their developmental and social role in accordance with their institutional system to improve volunteer work and community service.
