His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights, Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, and Member of the Board of Commissioners and Commissioner for Child Rights at the Institution, Dr. Houria Abbas Al-Dairi. During the meeting, the most important issues of concern to the "Child's Rights Commissioner" were reviewed, including the protection and promotion of the child's best interests, and support for the child's environmental policy, in cooperation and coordination with all governmental, private and private sectors, as well as relevant regional and international non-governmental organizations, as well as a discussion of support and assistance services. For children to ensure the promotion of their rights in accordance with national laws and international agreements, and in a manner that gives them the right upbringing so that they are able to contribute to building and advancing society. On this occasion, the Minister of Social Development affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the developed countries in the field of laws that protect the rights of the child, pointing to the efficiency of quality institutions that provide support services for the relevant national efforts, stressing in this regard the Ministry's keenness to strengthen community partnership with all different sectors, And work to overcome the challenges that prevent the preservation of the dignity and rights of the child. For their part, the Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights, a member of the Board of Commissioners and the Commissioner for Child Rights in the institution, valued the efforts of the Ministry of Social Development and its relentless and supportive endeavors to the concerned authorities to develop and strengthen its projects and programs that serve and guarantee the rights of the child.
