The Minister of Social Development discusses with the deputy of the Saudi Social Development Sector the promotion of cooperation in the areas of supporting civil organizations

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, Minister of Social Development, met with His Excellency Professor Sultan Al-Jurais, Deputy Minister for the Social Development Sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, aspects of cooperation and partnership in the field of supporting civil organizations were discussed. The Saudi side reviewed the national project "The National Platform for Donations" and its strategic objectives through its contribution to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to enable a healthy and dignified life, activating the partnership between the government and private sectors, as well as the governance of donations management. In order to reach the beneficiaries easily and easily, in addition to empowering NGOs in developing financial resources and collecting donations, the advantages of the national platform and its positive results on the non-profit sector in community development were also discussed. The Bahraini delegation was also briefed on the most important initiatives implemented by Saudi Arabia in the field of strengthening the role of NGOs. In this context, they reviewed the "Society Support Fund" project, which is strategically linked to community development and the non-profit sector, and works to support associations by developing their resources and investments and activating their partnerships to achieve Its financial sustainability and the enhancement of its social role have been reviewed. The most important objectives of the Fund aimed at supporting programs and projects that contribute to the growth and development of associations and strengthening their institutional capabilities and development contributions, as well as supporting programs for qualifying workers in these associations and developing their functional capabilities, in addition to supporting emerging associations and contributing to building their capacities organization and achieve its objectives.
