In his speech at the beginning of the inauguration ceremony, the Minister of Social Development affirmed that this ceremony stems from the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God preserve and preserve him, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to respect human rights, especially the rights of people of determination, who have proven day after day their active role in moving the wheel of progress and development. He pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain is characterized by a pioneering experience in the field of integrated social policies between the government, civil and private sectors, by achieving the principles of justice, equality and equal opportunities among all citizens in general, and children with determination in particular, and this is evident through the implementation plan of the strategy, which was launched in accordance with the vision of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to work on building a Bahraini society based on cohesion and partnership, in order to achieve a distinguished regional and global position for the Kingdom in this field. In terms of strengthening community partnership, Al-Asfoor explained that the executive plan embodies the most important forms of community partnership and cooperation between various sectors, in order to achieve the goals of people of determination, explaining that Bahrain is working with all its government institutions to enhance the quality of life for them, and to reach their integration into society, based on the comprehensive development approach of His Majesty the Great King, may God protect and preserve him. He said that the ministry is working to continue implementing social initiatives and projects of quality and competitiveness, in accordance with the relevant government program axes, especially the community services axis, which referred to the development and sustainability of social services, and this contributed to passing the implementation plan when it was formulated in several stages, leading to its approval by the Council of Ministers, in order to ensure the quality of its outputs, and the implementation of policies that enhance social care, towards enabling citizens of this category to participate in the development process in its comprehensive concept. It is noteworthy that the National Strategy for Persons with Disabilities aspires to create a Bahraini society based on the principle of inclusion in which citizens with disabilities can exercise all their rights in a fair and equal manner through capacity building and empowerment of persons with disabilities, their families, their institutions and all those interested in providing services to them, based on a human rights-based approach that is based on the principles contained in the Charter of the United Nations and the two international covenants and specialized agreements, especially the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, where this strategy comes in seven axes, namely: legislation and regulations, health and rehabilitation, education and integration Academic and vocational rehabilitation and economic empowerment, social empowerment and empowerment of women with disabilities, ease of access to buildings and services, awareness and media.
