Manama, July 16 (BNA): The second joint coordination meeting between the government and the legislative authority was held this morning to restructure government support. The Parliament side was chaired by Representative Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, while the Shura Council side was headed by Mr. Jamal Muhammad Fakhro, First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council. The government delegation was headed by HE Mr. Ghanem Fadl al-Buainain, Minister of Shura and Representatives Affairs, and a number of ministers and members of the legislative authority concerned with the work of restructuring government support. During the meeting, the importance of the outputs of the joint work to restructure government support was emphasized, which will consider raising the efficiency of directing support to those who are entitled to meet the needs of citizens, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force, as well as support criteria and eligibility conditions in agreement between the legislative and executive authorities. The volume of constructive and joint cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities was also indicated in exchanging information, discussing points of view, and answering questions and inquiries submitted by the legislative authority, as the details of government support will be thoroughly researched to ensure its sustainability. After that, the general basic principles for restructuring government support were discussed, as well as the response received from the esteemed government to the questions submitted by members of the legislative authority.
