Under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, the Bahrain Voluntary Work Society organized a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of its founding, in the presence of His Excellency the Chairman of the Shura Council, Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Society, and a number of related community events. During the speech presented by the Minister of Social Development, he praised the efforts of the Bahrain Voluntary Work Society, which has sought over the past years to work in accordance with its institutional goals to spread the culture of solidarity and cooperation and contain volunteers, to harness it in voluntary work that benefits the Bahraini homeland and society, referring to its sustainable development and social contributions, based on its keenness to implement qualitative projects, as well as its initiatives to achieve humanitarian goals by spreading the culture of volunteer work, which is a fundamental pillar of the activities of civil society organizations, through effective community partnership With official, private and civil efforts. He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has a rich record of achievements in various humanitarian and social fields, especially in the field of voluntary and professional civil work, which is formulated based on the needs of the local community, and is considered supportive work with national development plans, stressing in this context the keenness of the Ministry of Social Development on an ongoing basis to facilitate the civil work system according to the laws and regulations concerned in this regard, and support efforts that contribute to the development of society at various levels. During the ceremony, a brief film was shown on the most prominent achievements of the association since its establishment, in addition to honoring a number of supporters of the association's voluntary efforts, and popular and heritage events.
