The Committee for Equal Opportunities at the Ministry of Social Development held its first periodic meeting for the current year, chaired by the Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development, Ms. Enas Muhammad Al-Majed, where the strategic plan of the committee was reviewed and discussed, and the efforts that would contribute to promoting a culture of gender balance in the various departments and divisions of the ministry. During the meeting, the chairwoman of the committee stressed the importance of formulating the strategic plan with qualitative and quality initiatives, in a way that contributes to enhancing the role of women and their contributions in the various sectors of the ministry. In this context, she expressed her deep appreciation for the efforts made by the Supreme Council for Women, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King, may God protect her, to consolidate the progress of Bahraini women in various fields.
