His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, affirmed the government's firm keenness to provide an umbrella of social protection for citizens and enhance their standard of living in line with the goals of the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Kingdom of Bahrain, and the follow-up and concern of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Minister Al-Asfoor appreciated the order of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to double the disbursement of social assistance allowances that are disbursed to those who are entitled to social security and those who are entitled to disability allowances, in conjunction with the approach of the blessed month of Ramadan, in accordance with the annual habit of His Highness, with the aim of alleviating the living burdens of low-income Bahraini families, which confirms His Highness' constant interest in the various segments of Bahraini society. On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Social Development raised his deep thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Kingdom of Bahrain, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their great interest and constant support in securing a decent life for all citizens, especially for low-income groups, stressing in this context that the Ministry immediately started implementing His Highness' order, and the sums due to beneficiaries of social security assistance and disability allowance were transferred, to their bank accounts for disbursement. They are due on the 15th of March.
