The Ministry of Social Development participates in the Conference on Social Welfare Policies and Achieving Community Security in Egypt

His Excellency the Minister of Social Development, Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, participated in the first regional conference organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in the Arab Republic of Egypt on "Social Welfare Policies and Achieving Community Security", under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and with the participation of a number of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, the League of Arab States, and relevant authorities in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. The conference aims to exchange visions and practical ideas on social welfare policies and ways to achieve social security in light of contemporary changes, in addition to the sub-goals represented in the reality of social welfare policies for vulnerable groups and children with disabilities. On this occasion, Minister Al-Asfoor stressed the importance of the conference in advancing efforts to formulate social welfare policies to support the most needy groups in societies, expressing his thanks to the President of the Arab Republic for his sponsorship of this conference, which comes within the framework of adopting the concept of sustainable social development, and achieving best practices for development initiatives in the field of protection and social care for various segments of society. To support all efforts and means that contribute to the promotion of sustainable social development in its comprehensive sense. It is noteworthy that the conference comes within the framework of adopting the concept of sustainable development, which is concerned with developing social policies with the aim of developing society and with the participation of its members, and the role of each party, whether people, government or civil society institutions, in addition to the participation of the private sector as an expression of its social responsibility and work to achieve sustainable development.
