The Minister of Social Development meets the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Charity Association

His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, received Mr. Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Charitable Society, in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Society. During the meeting, the minister praised the role played by the Bahrain Charitable Society, and the various activities it provides in service and humanitarian fields, for the good and benefit of the country and citizens, stressing in this context the continued support of the Ministry of Social Development for the efforts of civil organizations and their development initiatives to encourage the values and principles of charitable and humanitarian work, and to overcome any obstacles they face in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in this regard. For his part, Kanoo reviewed the most important goals of the association and the developments of its projects, which seek to fulfill its societal mission in order to achieve its noble humanitarian aspirations, in addition to building a strategic partnership with civil society institutions through a number of various initiatives aimed at enhancing social solidarity. Aspects of cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Social Development and the Bahrain Charitable Society in the development and social fields were also reviewed, in addition to the facilities and services provided by the Ministry to civil associations, and proposals aimed at developing them and addressing the challenges that prevent civil society organizations from achieving their goals.
