Under the auspices of His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, the Bahraini Association of Motivators for People with Disabilities organized a conference entitled "Successes of People of Determination", in the presence of Ms. Sahar Rashid Al-Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry, and Mr. Riyad Al-Marzouq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, and with the participation of a number of relevant civil organizations and community events, at the Wyndham Grand Hotel. During the speech delivered by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, she affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain attaches great importance to persons with disabilities within the pillars of the comprehensive development march under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Kingdom of Bahrain, and with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in order to promote and preserve the rights and gains of people with disabilities, and to ensure that they are provided with comprehensive protection and enjoy full equality with their peers in society. She also praised the humanitarian and development efforts of the Bahraini Association of Motivators for People with Disabilities, in addition to the theme and objectives of the conference aimed at opening broad horizons and ambition, especially when real success stories are highlighted that are told by its heroes to serve as a role model, noting that this confirms the high level enjoyed by people with disabilities, and their ability to overcome challenges. She said that civil society organizations have greatly contributed to the enrichment of social work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where it was able, through effective community partnership, to achieve its noble humanitarian goals and provide sustainable development services, pointing out that the Kingdom of Bahrain has made tangible achievements in the field of partnership and the development of services for people with disabilities, in cooperation with many governmental, private and private agencies.
