Financial Support Service

Financial support is a direct government financial support for low-income persons, to participate in alleviating burdens of living in accordance with specified standards. The Ministry of Social development was charged to supervise the disbursement process in collaboration with E-government authority and the central information agency plus a number of concerned bodies. ٍStarting from January 2022, it was approved to increase the financial support for low-income families, so that the amount of financial support for the three categories of eligibility is as follows:110 dinars for the first category in which the income of the head of the Bahraini family ranges between (0 - 300) dinars, and 77 B.D. for the second category, in which the income of the head of the Bahraini family ranges Between (301-700) dinars, and 55 B.D. for the third category in which the income of the head of the family ranges between (701-1000) dinars, registration is applicable through submitting a request to the registration and social services at all social centers, distributed all over the governorates in the Kingdom of Bahrain.     1. The applicant must be Bahraini citizen.

    2. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

    3. The head of family's total monthly earning must not exceed 1000 BD (Bahraini dinars).

    4. The entire real estate is not taken into account, but it included under the total income of the head of family.

    5. It is allowed to own one commercial register with one branch, provided that it is one of the micro commercial registers. ((To ensure the continuity of the financial support service, an income statement must be submitted from the commercial registry when opening a new commercial registry))

  2. To have an electronic key (eKey) that enables you to follow up on your request for financial support submitted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.

  3. Click on Start service.

  4. Applicant can inquire about your eligibility for financial support.

  5. Applicant can inquire about viewing the history of previous payments from financial support.

  6. Applicant can update the contact details of applicants for Financial Support request.

    1. Fill out the social service application form.

    2. The applicant’s valid identity card.

    3. The applicant’s original bank statement, including the international bank account number.

    4. The divorce decree and the custody agreement in case of a divorce.

    5. Provision of transaction number/entity’s number, amount of income statement from the office of documentation, only for holder of business register.

    6. The salary certificate or pension statement must be obtaining in case the applicant uncertain of his registered amount of income in general Organization for Social Insurance.

  1. All requests are recorded into the electronic system, by the community center social workers. The request considered as accepted in case the all per-registered data in government agencies are updated.

  2. The designated amount is deposited into the beneficiary's account, by the 15th of each month, at all local banks.

  3. If the application completes the documents and conditions, the application will be accepted directly in the electronic system for public cases and the citizen will be notified of this at the same time.
