The Grievance and Procedures for applying to update the type of disability to double the disability allowance service
Disabilities included in the increase of the disability allowance to 200 B.D. (severe intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, quadriplegia, autism, multiple disabilities).
Citizens who are not included in the decision and who consider themselves eligible can submit a grievance through the social centers close to the residential areas according to the procedures and standards within an agreed mechanism, or submit the request directly to the e-mail for receiving grievance requests, starting from 18 June 2023.

Submit a social service application form
- Provide a valid ID card (CPR) for disabled applicant.
- Provide a Detailed Medical Report approved by a specialist consultant doctor in a government hospital, indicating the type of disability, not more than one calendar year since its issuance.

Provide a birth certificate for non-Bahraini children of Bahraini citizenship

Provide an official bank document of the applicant, including the IBAN

The applications are judged by the competent committee to evaluate the disability, according to criteria and Conditions.

The designated amount is transferred to the beneficiary's account, by the 15th of each month, at all local banks.
FAQ:
Q: How do you know the type of disability registered with the Ministry for a person with a disability?
A: The disability is determined according to the medical reports submitted by the applicant for the first time, and it is classified in the system according to the approved disabilities categories unless the applicant did not update his/her information & data afterwards.
Q: Do all grievances require a new medical report to be submitted?
A: All grievances must be accompanied by a medical report issued by a consultant physician that has not passed 6 months since its issuance, so that the concerned committee can take the appropriate decision regarding each grievance.
Q: Does the medical report have to be from one of the three government hospitals, or is it possible through government health centers?
A: It is possible to bring a medical report approved by a consultant doctor in any health center or government hospital.
Q: How long is required to respond to grievances?
A: The response to the grievance according to the applicable regulations requires 30 working days.
Q: What are the details of severe intellectual disability?
A: Severe mental/intellectual disability is a decrease in the level of general mental performance from the average by (4-5 standard deviations) And this level of decline in intelligence entails great difficulties because of which the person needs constant care and supervision by others.
Q: What is meant by the term (multiple disability)?
A: Multiple disability, as is evident from its name, means the presence of more than one disability in a person, such as a mental/intellectual disability, a physical disability, or a hearing disability and a visual disability. This disability is one of the severe disabilities due to the special difficulties it imposes on a person with more than one disability.
Q: What is the method for submitting a grievance?
